Assisté à la première Vendredi soir.
Photographié la générale Mercredi soir.
Suivi les répétitions durant des semaines auparavant.
Je remonte le temps. Dans les studios de l'Opéra Garnier, au commencement, j'ai vu des morceaux, comme le début
d'un puzzle. Lors de la générale, j'ai aperçu un ensemble, mais encore fragmenté. Séparée de la scène par un appareil, et un objectif. Un regard, un point de vue. Premier spectacle - comme j'aime
lire sur la fiche des distributions, remise à chaque spectateur : 1ère représentation - : enfin, je me fais passive, je n'agis pas, je reçois. J'embrasse l'ensemble de la scène, le regard
vagabonde, se fixe, s'éloigne et se re-pose.
Je dis souvent à mon fils : C'est bien d'avoir de la chance, mais il faut en avoir conscience. Dont
acte.
Et aujourd'hui, je me demande, après avoir reçu cette oeuvre de plein fouet, en trois temps, si je devais choisir
trois images ? Difficile.
Alors, peut-être, celles-ci...

I was at the opening night on Friday.
I was photographing the last rehearsal on Wednesday.
I've been following the work in progress at the Palais Garnier during several weeks.
Back on the scale of time. I've seen fragments. Then I saw the entire piece, but through the lens. A camera in between. An angle, and a point of view. That's what photography is about. And then,
finally, I received the piece, or should I write the masterpiece ? I was not doing anything, I was just sitting there and receiving. Looking at the entire stage, embracing it, then the eyes
wander, stop, go away and stop again.
I say very often to my son : "it's one thing to be lucky, the second thing is to be aware of it". I take care to remeber it for myself as well.
And today, after receiving this piece in three times, I am wondering : if I had to choose three images, for this third symphony, which ones should I choose ? Not an easy task. Maybe
