Some people talk about "reasonable distance".

Nonsense.

Distance exists, or not. Full stop. And that existence, if any, is engraved on the scale of time.

There's no point in hiding behind reason.

Distance is when it's time to be more gentle than ever for the very last instant, a time to say good bye, take care, and good luck.

Distance is when it's time to acknowledge what could not be heard in the name of a twisted pride.

Distance could be the time for being proud, if pride has to be involved. Being proud of everything. Everything before the distance.

Distance should always be a matter of elegance, when elegance means graceful beauty of manner, form, or style. Elegance of the souls. No matter what.
